Your point was that navigation is really hard, which is true. But your description of finding latitude in the northern hemisphere was ridiculously harder than it needs to be. Since you have already found Polaris, the North Star, in order to define direction, all you need to do is measure its angular elevation above the horizon to directly measure your latitude. Otherwise, your episode was fun as usual.
